Prohibited Items and Content

Effective September 5, 2026

This Prohibited Items and Content Policy (Policy) forms part of the Terms & Conditions for If There's Anything That You Want. It applies to Listings, photographs, marketplace pages, live conversations, account information, links, and all other use of the Service. The Child Safety Policy and Copyright and DMCA Policy provide additional rules and reporting procedures for their subjects.

The Service is intended for lawful tangible personal property within categories the Operator permits. Something being legal in one place does not guarantee that it is allowed on the Service or may lawfully be offered to a particular person or destination.

Always prohibited

Do not offer, request, promote, arrange, or facilitate:

• stolen property or property obtained through fraud;
• counterfeit, pirated, unauthorized replica, or rights-infringing goods;
• products subject to an applicable recall, stop-sale order, or legal prohibition;
• goods whose possession, sale, transfer, shipment, import, or export would be unlawful;
• an item you do not own or lack authority to transfer;
• fraudulent, deceptive, materially inaccurate, or bait-and-switch Listings;
• transactions intended to launder money, conceal proceeds, evade sanctions or taxes, or facilitate another crime; or
• any attempt, conspiracy, instruction, or assistance directed toward prohibited activity.

Weapons and dangerous devices

The following are prohibited:

• weapons, ammunition, components, or transfers prohibited by applicable law;
• explosives, destructive devices, improvised incendiary devices, and bomb-making materials;
• weaponized chemicals or biological agents;
• firearms, silencers, conversion devices, or other regulated items that are unregistered, unlawfully modified, or offered without a required license, approval, or transfer procedure; and
• components or instructions primarily intended to construct a prohibited weapon, unlawfully convert or modify a weapon, or evade a legal safety or transfer requirement.

Lawful firearms, ammunition, knives, tasers, sporting equipment, and similar items may be listed only when:

• the Seller may lawfully possess and transfer the item;
• the proposed Buyer may lawfully acquire and possess it;
• the Listing accurately identifies the item and its regulated status; and
• the transaction complies with all applicable age, residency, licensing, registration, background-check, in-person-transfer, interstate-transfer, shipping, and location requirements.

The Seller and Buyer are solely responsible for determining and documenting compliance. The Operator does not verify eligibility, conduct background checks, provide a required license, or act as a firearms dealer or transfer agent. The Operator may restrict or remove a Listing when its legality or safe transfer cannot reasonably be established.

Drugs, alcohol, tobacco, and medical products

The following are prohibited:

• controlled substances, illegal drugs, cannabis products, drug paraphernalia, and products marketed for an unlawful drug use;
• prescription drugs, prescription-only devices, and regulated medications offered without lawful authorization;
• unsafe, adulterated, misbranded, expired, or recalled medical products;
• alcohol, tobacco, nicotine products, vaping products, and age-restricted intoxicants; and
• human blood, organs, tissue, bodily material, or products whose transfer is prohibited or medically unsafe.

Ordinary nonprescription health products may be restricted or removed when safety, labeling, licensing, or legal compliance cannot reasonably be established.

Hazardous, regulated, or environmentally restricted materials

The following are prohibited:

• poisons, toxic industrial chemicals, radioactive materials, hazardous waste, and regulated biological material;
• pesticides, refrigerants, fuels, compressed gases, batteries, or chemicals offered contrary to licensing, labeling, transport, or environmental rules;
• products designed to defeat emissions, safety, utility, or regulatory controls;
• unlawfully obtained utility, telecommunications, or transportation equipment; and
• goods that cannot be stored, handled, transferred, or shipped safely through the proposed transaction.

People, animals, and exploitation

The following are prohibited:

• human trafficking, forced labor, prostitution, sexual services, or exploitation;
• pornography, nonconsensual intimate material, or sexualized content involving exploitation;
• child sexual abuse material, sexualized material involving a real or apparent minor, grooming, enticement, sextortion, child sex trafficking, or other conduct prohibited by the Child Safety Policy;
• the sale, transfer, or solicitation of a person, adoption, custody, reproductive service, or human remains;
• animals, animal parts, wildlife products, or plants whose sale or transfer is unlawful or requires authorization not established by the Seller; and
• animal fighting, cruelty, poaching, or material promoting those activities.

Financial, identity, and access items

The following are prohibited:

• stolen or unauthorized payment cards, bank accounts, account credentials, or financial information;
• government identification, licenses, passports, benefit cards, blank official documents, or counterfeit documents;
• personal data, mailing lists, medical records, authentication codes, or access credentials;
• securities, investment interests, insurance products, loans, or other regulated financial products offered without express Service approval and lawful authorization;
• lottery tickets, wagers, gambling services, or unlawful games of chance;
• counterfeit currency, altered payment instruments, or tools intended for forgery or fraud; and
• gift cards, stored-value instruments, tickets, coupons, or digital entitlements obtained unlawfully or offered contrary to their terms.

Lawful collectible currency may be listed as a collectible only when accurately described and not offered deceptively as current-value payment or an investment guarantee.

Digital goods, devices, and intellectual property

The following are prohibited:

• malware, ransomware, spyware, credential theft, botnets, denial-of-service tools, or devices primarily intended for unlawful access or surveillance;
• circumvention devices or instructions offered primarily to defeat access controls, licensing, copy protection, meters, or security;
• pirated software, unauthorized activation keys, infringing media, counterfeit branded goods, or unauthorized replicas;
• domain names, accounts, subscriptions, or digital access offered contrary to law or the provider's transferable-rights rules; and
• photographs, descriptions, logos, personal likenesses, or other content you lack the right to publish. Copyright notices and counter-notices must follow the Copyright and DMCA Policy.

Services, housing, employment, and other regulated offers

Unless the Operator expressly enables a category and publishes its requirements, the Service may not be used to advertise:

• employment, independent-contractor work, or business opportunities;
• housing, lodging, land sales, leases, or roommate arrangements;
• credit, insurance, investments, legal services, medical services, or other licensed professional services;
• transportation, delivery, repair, childcare, eldercare, or personal services; or
• donations, fundraising, political contributions, raffles, or contests.

This restriction keeps the Service focused on permitted items and avoids implying that the Operator has verified licenses, qualifications, anti-discrimination compliance, or required disclosures.

Prohibited content and behavior

Do not publish or send content that:

• is knowingly false, deceptive, or materially incomplete;
• impersonates another person or misrepresents authority, identity, location, condition, ownership, or price;
• threatens, harasses, stalks, extorts, exploits, or unlawfully discriminates against another person;
• reveals another person's private or sensitive information without lawful authority;
• infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights;
• contains malware, spam, phishing, fraudulent payment instructions, or deceptive links;
• violates the Child Safety Policy or otherwise sexualizes, exploits, or endangers a minor;
• promotes terrorism, violent criminal activity, or targeted violence;
• solicits an unlawful transaction or asks another user to evade Service safeguards; or
• interferes with, scrapes, overloads, probes, reverse engineers, or bypasses the Service contrary to the Terms.

Seller responsibilities

Before publishing a Listing, the Seller must determine that:

• the item and transaction are permitted by this Policy;
• the Seller owns the item or has authority to transfer it;
• the Listing is accurate and includes legally required warnings and disclosures;
• the item is not stolen, counterfeit, recalled, or unsafe;
• the Buyer and proposed transfer satisfy applicable age, location, license, and shipment restrictions; and
• all photographs and other content may lawfully be used.

The Operator's failure to remove a Listing does not mean that the item or transaction is legal, safe, verified, or approved.

Enforcement

The Operator may reject, restrict, deindex, deactivate, preserve, or remove content; limit features; suspend activity; or suspend or terminate an account when it reasonably believes this Policy has been violated or action is needed for safety, security, legal compliance, or another person's rights.

Enforcement may occur before or after publication and may use reports, automated signals, manual review, or information from service providers or authorities. The Operator is not required to provide advance notice when delay could create danger, continued violation, fraud, evidence loss, interference with an investigation, or security risk. Suspected child sexual abuse material may be disabled from public access while the original and related records are preserved under the Child Safety Policy.

When reasonable and lawful, the Operator may explain the action and provide an opportunity to correct or appeal. Information may be preserved or disclosed as described in the Privacy Policy.

Reporting

Report a prohibited Listing, user, message, or transaction through the Contact, Notices, and Reports page.

Reports involving suspected child sexual abuse material or child exploitation must follow the Child Safety Policy. Do not download, copy, screenshot, attach, email, forward, or re-upload suspected child sexual abuse material.

Copyright notices and counter-notices must follow the designated-agent procedure in the Copyright and DMCA Policy. A general prohibited-content report does not substitute for a copyright notice.

The Contact form is not an emergency service. Call 911 or the appropriate emergency authority when someone may be in immediate danger.

Changes to this Policy

The effective date identifies the current version. The Operator may clarify or update this Policy prospectively. A material change will receive the notice required by the Terms or applicable law. A change does not retroactively make previously permitted conduct a violation.
