Privacy Policy
Last updated September 4, 2026.
This policy explains what If There's Anything That You Want collects, what it does not collect, and why.
What we never collect
The contents of your conversations. Messages between a buyer and a seller travel directly between the two browsers. They do not pass through our servers and we keep no copy, transcript, or archive. This is a property of how the Service is built, not a promise we police -- there is nothing on our side to hand over, to leak, or to search.
We do keep a small record that a conversation happened -- who it was between, which listing it concerned, when it started and ended, and how it ended -- because capacity, abuse handling, and your own contact history depend on it. That record never contains anything either of you said.
What we collect
- Account details. Your name, which stays private; the public name you choose, which other users see; your email address, which is your login identity and is verified; and your phone number, which we collect but do not verify.
- What you publish. Your listings, their descriptions, and their photographs. These are public by design.
- Billing state. Whether you have a subscription, how many listing slots it covers, and whether it is current. Card details are handled entirely by our payment processor -- we never see or store them.
- Operational logs. Ordinary server records needed to run and secure the Service.
Unregistered buyers
A buyer can start a conversation without an account. The contact details they give for that purpose are encrypted, used only to let the seller reach them about that conversation, and deleted outright when the conversation ends.
Direct connections and your IP address
Connecting two browsers directly may reveal network information, including an IP address, to the other participant. We cannot prevent this -- it is how a direct connection is established. If that matters to you, do not take part in a direct conversation.
Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Who we share with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers needed to run the Service -- our payment processor for billing, and our email provider for account and billing notices -- and where the law requires it.
Retention
We keep account information while your account exists. Published listings remain until you remove or deactivate them. Contact-history records are kept for a limited period. Conversation contents are never retained, because they are never received.
Your choices
You can edit your account details, change your public name, deactivate or delete listings, and close your account. To ask what we hold about you or to request deletion, use the contact page.
Children
The Service is not directed to children. You must be 18 or older to take part in a direct conversation.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
